The Omo People who created a climate where bodies, nature, colored minerals and all sorts of animals appeared engulfed and infused with amazing colors and designs. The indigenous tribes of the Omo River paint their bodies with pulverized minerals. They slather on clay to prevent sunburn. They use colors to designate position, for ritual, to ward off illness, to attract the opposite sex, to associate with family, a tribe or an animal, and of course just recently, to impress tourists. The Omo River is located in East Africa flows into the southern part of Ethiopia.
